Birthday card for mum

Here's the birthday card I've made for my mum's birthday next month, she has a little Westie called Charlie.

I started with a A5 card blank and covered with purple flowered paper from papermania rich purple, leaving a 0.5cm gap. I printed the westie digi stamp from Bird Cards and the birthday sentiment from the same site. I changed the colour of the sentiment and added the word mum. I cut them out using spellbinder nestabilities and backed with light purple. I added a striped panel and ribbon then attached the toppers.

The large flower is made from tissue paper and mulberry paper, I cut 3 different size circles using spellbinder nestabilities, the used a corner rounder to make the petals, layered them up and added 2 buttons to make the centre, to finish it off I added silver glitter glue to the edges of the largest petals. The small flower is some I had in my stash, finished with a small button.

I wish to enter this card in to the following challenges:

MSE 'change' challenge,

Creativecardcrew 'Anything goes' challenge

It's not all about the cards :)

I also make things from face cloths,

Here's a cupcake I made recently for a friends birthday.

I then made it into a gift basket.

The bunnies look better in real life, found it hard to get a good photo.

Christmas Cards

I know it's only September, but I need to get started early so I have plenty of time to make enough.

Here's the few that I have made so far.

My very first post

Well, hello and welcome to my blog.

I have been making handmade cards for 2 years now so decided it was time to make blog so I can keep track of the cards I have made and hopefully give others ideas and inspiration.

Over the next few days (or weeks, depending on how much time I have) I will upload some of the photos of cards I have made in the past as well as my cute puppy and bunny face cloth gifts.

Anyway still trying to work this blog out so TTFN
xoxo
